NZ scuba diving accident victim identified

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (4 Apr 2009) — Police have identified the victim of a fatal scuba diving accident in New Zealand that CDNN reported last Thursday.

Laurence Lloyd, 50, of Kumeu, drowned while scuba diving off Little Barrier Island in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf.

Friends found Lloyd unconscious at a depth of only four meters.

They pulled him to the surface and started CPR aboard their boat but he never regained consciousness.
