by LUTHER MONROE @ CDNN - CYBER DIVER News Network

PERTH, Australia (13 Apr 2009) — A teen diver was seriously injured while scuba diving in King George Sound.

Authorities told CDNN the 17-year-old diver resurfaced too rapidly from the HMAS Perth wreck, which is located off Albany at depths ranging from 17 to 28 meters.

The scuba diving accident victim was flown to Jandakot airport by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and transferred to Fremantle Hospital for treatment of potentially fatal decompression sickness ("the bends").
