STONEY COVE, UK (16 Apr 2009) — Another scuba diver died at the Stoney Cove scuba diving park.
Authorities told CDNN the scuba diving accident victim was not participating in a diving course.
Employees at Stoney Cove Diving Centre said they started searching for the diver at about 1:35 pm when he was reported missing.
After they found the diver, they brought him to the surface and started CPR but failed to revive the victim.
An ambulance took the victim to Leicester Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim.
At least 25 scuba divers have died at Stoney Cove, a flooded quarry in Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire that opened for business as a scuba diving park in 1978.
