GALAPAGOS (27 Apr 2009) — Renowned Texas financier, Dennis Joslin, died while scuba diving in the Galapagos.
Witnesses told CDNN a search was launched after Joslin disappeared while scuba diving with a group of other divers.
Searchers later found his body in the area where he disappeared.
Friends described Joslin as a generous, big-hearted man who was adventurous and full of life.
"Everyone who knew him is in shock because he was such a wonderful person," said Janet Farrow, a close friend who took over as CEO of the Jamaica Redevelopment Foundation when Joslin retired in 2005.
"He was a man who was larger than life (and) one of the most generous persons I have known," said Robert MacMillan, an advertising executive whose firm worked on projects for Joslin.
