Diving accident kills U.S. Virgin Islands tourist

ST. JOHN, U.S. Virgin Islands (3 June 2009) — A woman died while diving with her husband in St. John.

Authorities told CDNN that 65-year-old Linda Padgett, of Apex, North Carolina, drowned while snorkel diving off Honeymoon Beach.

Police are investigating the diving accident and an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Authorities have not released other details about the tragedy.
