Scuba diving accident kills Massachusetts diver

NEW BEDFORD, Massachusetts — A man died after a scuba diving accident off West Beach in New Bedford.

Authorities have not yet named the scuba diving accident victim, but told CDNN he was diving solo.

Police said the unconscious man was rushed to Saint Luke's Hospital where he later died.

The fatal accident is under investigation and the victim's scuba divng equipment will be examined to determine if it was functioning properly.
