Scuba diver rescued off Edmonds

June 22, 2009

EDMONDS, Washington — A man who encountered problems while scuba diving at Edmonds Underwater Park was rescued

Authorities have not yet named the diver but said he is a resident of Medford, Oregon.

The man's wife, who was watching from shore, called for help when she realized her husband was in trouble.

Edmonds Fire Department responded to the 911 call and found the diver clinging to a buoy.

They brought him back to shore by boat.

The condition of the diver is unknown but witnesses said he appeared to be fine when he reached shore.
