TENERIFE, Canary Islands — A man died while diving off Arona on the island of Tenerife.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim but told CDNN the 33-year-old male diver apparently drowned.
Local police and coastguard rescue teams started searching for the victim after relatives reported him missing.
They said he entered the sea at about 11:00 am between Ten Bell and Montaña Amarilla.
Search teams in boats and helicopters searched the coast between Montaña Amarilla and Las Galletas and found the body of the victim floating in the sea late in the afternoon.
Search officials said they do not know what caused the fatal diving accident.
