PALOS VERDES, California — The Coast Guard is searching for a man who disappeared while diving at Malaga Cove.

Authorities told CDNN the 52-year-old diver failed to return to the Malaga Cove parking lot as planned.

Anthony Turner of the Coast Guard said a friend of the missing diver confirmed that he failed to show up at the scheduled place and time.

Authorities found the missing diver's vehicle, which did not contain diving equipment.

A Coast Guard helicopter and cutter are assisting in the missing diver search.
