MANASQUAN, New Jersey — Police are investigating a scuba diving accident at Manasquan Inlett hat killed a woman who was diving off the Blue Fathoms dive boat.

Authorities told CDNN that Helen Kosthaz, 40, of Jamesburg, was found floating unconscious at about 11:20 am this morning by people on another boat.

They pulled the woman aboard and started CPR as they rushed the victim to U.S. Coast Guard Manasquan station.

A Coast Guard vessel met the incoming boat and two crew members took over the rescue effort.

Kosthaz was transferred to an ambulance at the Coast Guard's Manasquan station and rushed to Ocean Medical Center in Brick, but she never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Blue Fathoms Captain, Tony Donetz, captain of the vessel, declined to comment on the fatal scuba diving accident, which is under investigation.
