Scuba diving accident injures woman off Lady Musgrave Island

BRISBANE, Australia — A woman was airlifted to hospital after a scuba diving accident.
Authorities have not yet identified the scuba diving accident victim, but told CDNN she was injured while diving off Lady Musgrave Island on the Great Barrier Reef.
Witnesses said the woman was scuba diving at a depth of about 16 meters when she suffered a near-drowning accident.
Other divers brought the woman back to the surface and pulled her on the dive boat where she was treated.
She was then taken to Lady Musgrave Island where an AGL Rescue Helicopter medivaced her to Bundaberg base hospital.
Hospital officials said the woman is in stable condition.
A scuba diver is in stable condition after she was airlifted to hospital.
