Scuba diving accident kills Massachusetts man

PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts — An experienced diver died Sunday afternoon while scuba diving off Plymouth.

Authorities told CDNN that James Osborne, 56, encountered problems while scuba diving with friends off White Horse Beach.

Witnesses said Osborne signaled that he was in trouble and was later found unconscous on the surface.

Friends aboard Osborne's boat pulled him aboard but it was too late.

The fatal scuba diving accident is under investigation and an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Experienced 56-year-old diver, James Osborne, of Abington died on Sunday while scuba diving off White Horse Beach in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
