Woman airlifted to hospital after scuba diving accident in Tasmania

HOBART, Tasmania — An injured scuba diver was airlifted to hospital in Hobart at about 5 pm today.
Authorities have not yet identified the woman but told CDNN she resides in Smithton and was injured while diving at Coles Bay in the Freycinet Peninsula.
The scuba diving accident victim was taken to Coles Bay jetty where volunteers and a doctor on holiday treated her until a helicopter arrived at the scene.
According to hospital officials in Hobart, the woman is in satisfactory condition.
