MIAMI, Florida — A diver was rushed to hospital after he was bitten by a shark about 10:30 this morning.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the shark attack victim but told CDNN the he was spearfishing near Elliott Key and had just caught a barracuda when a bullshark bit his arm.
The victim was rushed to Matheson Hammock Marina and then on to South Miami Hospital.
Hospital officials said the victim suffered lacerations on his arm, which will require surgery,. however the injury is not life-threatening.
The shark attack victim was diving near Elliott Key in Florida.
