PAPEETE, French Polynesia (25 December 2000) -- A Hawaiian DC-10 airliner overshot the runway at Tahiti's Faa airport but stopped at the edge of the lagoon. One passenger was slightly injured as the airplane skidded to the end of the runway in heavy rain and strong winds.
