PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (17 Oct 2008) — Britian issued a new travel warning less than a week after the brutal murder of a tourist couple in Tobago. On October 9, Swedish couple Anna Sundsval, 62, and Oke Olsoon, 73, were chopped to death at their villa in Tobago. Law enforcement officials in Tobago described the gruesome double murder as the worst they have ever seen. The UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office stopped short of advising tourists not to visit Tobago but urged them to be extremely cautious and to ensure their accommodation provided full 24-hour security and steel grilles to prevent criminals from breaking through hotel room windows.
