LAOAG, Philippines (14 Feb 2004) -- A search and rescue team of the Coast Guard started scouring the Pagudpud Bay in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, in search of a Korean who was reported missing on Wednesday after he and two others went scuba diving.

Superintendent Rolando Rabara, Ilocos Norte police director, said local rescue units started the search after scuba diving instructor Choi Yung Sun reported that his two companions, Lee Coek Ho and Kim Dong Jun, were missing at around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Kim was found in nearby Bangui Bay on Thursday morning. The team was still searching for Lee as of 3 p.m. Thursday.

Rabara said the three hired a pump boat and set out to sea on Wednesday afternoon. He said Choi returned to the boat after noticing it had gone far from their dive site.
