Arkansas woman dies scuba diving

BAXTER COUNTY, Arkansas (19 July 2004) -- A woman died while scuba diving at Norfolk Lake.

According to the Baxter County sheriff's office, Wendy Ann Arnold, 38, was scuba diving with her boyfriend when she went missing.

After failing to find Arnold at depth, the boyfriend surfaced and notified authorities of a missing diver emergency.

Rescue divers responded immediately and found Arnold's body at a depth of 20 feet.

 

The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
