SEA RANCH, California (6 Sep 2004) -- A man free diving for abalone off the coast near Sea Ranch died yesterday when he went too deep. U.S. Coast Guard spokesman Joseph Ford says the man was diving without any breathing apparatus when he dove too far and inhaled a lung full of water. | | The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
