CANBERRA, Australia (15 Dec 2004) -- Australia has warned travelers to avoid Indonesia including Bali where terrorist attacks killed some 200 foreigners on October 12, 2002. The new travel warning issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) is based on intelligence that terrorists are planning attacks against foreigners. The warning singled out Hilton hotels in in Bali, Jakarta and Surabaya. "Today we are issuing a fresh travel advice for Indonesia on the basis that we have credible reports of a possible terrorist attack on Hilton Hotels or possibly other western hotels," Foreign Minister Alexander Downer told reporters. © CDNN - CYBER DIVER NEWS NETWORK |
